An experimental C.L.C. Filter for Internal DVD writer.
This filter is what was used for the "Dire Straits-Private Investigations" track that Martin preferred.
The parts that were used were what I had laying around.
It could also be constructed using a slightly larger Jiffy Box and point to point wiring.
Even if you don't notice the improvements that you hoped for, it will not have cost you much to try.
Not too far down the track, we also hope to have a group buy in another forum, of the JLH PSU add-on PCBs (un-populated)
as used with external PSUs for either +5V for a very low noise mains powered +5V external PSU for USB devices,
or even +12V 2A and +5V 2A suppies for external use, or in line for use with internal DVD writers.
These are purely DIY, and all PCB profits will be donated to charity.
Full details of the JLH PSU add-on , including the original E.T.I. article are at :

P.S.
You could always try a SOtM SATA filter instead. It also has other uses as seen at the Auraliti page.(US$65 plus P & P)
The DIY filter does howeve have much larger value capacitors at the output end.
