Apparently the price of virgins has risen dramatically. When I got one decades ago [my first wife] , the price was much lower. All it cost me was my sanity. LOL

I can't afford the majority of items reviewed in 'Critic but I am always intrigued to see just how far the standards can be pushed. I would be intrigued to read at least.

sometimes outrageously priced product fails to justify itself

and sometimes not .............

One issue is that if it is any good , how do you sensibly construct a system good enough to find out ?

If all was in proportion we are talking of a £1,000,000.00 arrangement

persons are queuing up to see if this Red Book Player/DAC really does perform as it should !

Thanks: 1 times

It would be good to know, say over the last two or three years, what you have sought to review and been unable to source (not simply by virtue of delay) from manufacturers and/or dealers and/or distributors.

Normal magazines would never disclose such information but, given your freedom from advertising, maybe you can. After all, those withholding equipment must have a valid reason for doing so!

Paul Messenger flagged a coming full review of Vertere cables in the last issue. It would be great if that can be expanded inte a full comparative review of Vertere, Vertex and Chord Sarum cables in the context of his Naim system.

I have asked before, but I shall ask again as they have just yesterday updated some of their top line, but I would love to see some more Meridian products reviewed. Especially the Sooloos range - MC200, MS600, MD600, MS200, 818. The MC200 and MS600 are a particualrly tempting combination and I would love to hear your opinions against your Naim set up for analogue and digital out from both.

Some of the Vertex mains conditioning products would also be nice to see reviewed. I got me a couple of the Jaya mains filters earlier this Autumn: http://www.vertexaq.com/...andard-jaya-mains-filter

we hope to do the NAIM flagship DAC in the new year

the NDS/555PS(DR) (does network and SPDIF , interesting !)

will it match the LINN Akurate DS for transparency and the MSB Platinum for focus and drive ?

Dynamics have good chance since it has the advanced and successful sub chassis technology from the Superline phono equaliser
