HIFICRITIC NEW ISSUE Vol 6 No 2 April-June

hard to believe but yes , we are close to going to press !

Probably printing early next week and mailing out later that week when the ink has dried!

Another amazing issue , packed with variety and some amazing products including three exceptional DACS

There are turntables, 4 streamers , DACS ,

active 2 off, and passive loudspeakers, four off , single and multiple driver designs ,

LP12 improvements

experiences with computers as audio sources

Hi End 2012 Show report

a magic Auto former control unit

the Pete Thomas interview

19 equipment reviews altogether !

classical and pop records

Editors comment and Subjective Sounds

(I think rather more than you get with the equivalent 3 months of issues of the advertisement based monthlies )

Quite noticeable now how the advertisement based monthlies have narrowed their reviewer base.

In HiFi+, the editor Alan Sircom write more than half the copy. Similar trend in HiFi World; HiFi News not quite so bad.

We are fortunate to have some long established reviewers for Critic and I guess that I'd sooner get quality 1.1/2 months late rather than some mediocrity 1 month early.

Paul Messenger does a great job in broadening our horizons

BTW we are , at last, printing , ink drying !

soon bagging and mail out

thanks to all for your forbearance

every issue we try to catch up but accumulating events conspire against us

perhaps we should recruit some volunteers

Too far away to lend a hand, but I hope a review of the Magico shown in skeleton form on the front of the site is included :)

The issue dropped this morning. You are right, it is stuffed to the gills this issue.

The Q5 is 250 kgs. Taking the castors off to put the spikes on is not a job for the weak :) Magico should give a jack to lift the monolith (a la Wilson).

The same. I have not received paypal request from a week ago. Just tried emailing. Let's see if I get reply. The same thing happened last issue - no paypal request, no reply to email. I gave up trying in the end.

Appologies all. Are each of you attempting to order single issues? If so, can you email sales@hificritic.com with your request? Just include the issue numbers you are after.

We recently moved hosting and even though all has been checked many times over, its still possible your requests are not making it through to sales.
