In a thinking out loud sort of way......

I was talking to the girlfriend about getting some bigger speakers. I talking about these

http://www.troelsgravesen.dk/OBL11.htm

the trouble is the baffle is quite large and fills quite a lot of the picture window they will sit in front of. As it was a hifi related query my brain worked fast and I said "how about if they were made out of perspex?". For this type of speaker would 25/30mm perspex work?

BTW the specified bass drivers are on special offer with the distributers, could be worth a punt........

need great care to work , has a tendency to crack at drill points, cutouts, professional cutting advised

looks great , and is better than wood vibroacoustically

higher mass, better damping

thanks for that.

As I said it was a thinking out loud, having looked at the price of 1m2 of 25/30mm perspex- £250 and that is without the professional cutting.........Confused
