I am looking for a card to fit in a Dell T300 server, I might be playing the odd game or Blu-Ray movie; I know my better half will pos. Avatar. Machine specs here Dell T300 PowerEdge

Mine has 8GB Ram and the Xeon 3363 Quad core processor with Win 7 Ultimate 64 bit.

I cannot upgrade the PS so I will probably need a card that doesn't require external power, they are power hungry things.

This card (Sparkle GeForce GT240) link here seems to work well in a Dell Optiplex 755 with a 300w PS. The GT240 doesn't require external power.

Any suggestions around the $150 £100 mark? or should I buy another Sparkle GT240?

Hey Simon, that's a lot of power for AV! Bet the processor fans make a bit of noise.

Is that GT240 really within £150? Hard to believe the specs. Sounds ideal!

I went for a different card in the end, still one with a fair bit of power as the PCI slots were 4 and 8x most cards are 16x

Yes it isn't the quietet machine but it is fast

I landed on a Club 4350 512 mb which is PCI 1x, an ideal match
